I'm not sure I would think it a good idea to go to a place called "Terminus" but they are desperate, and the season ends on a cliff hanger.
I find this season's episodes very entertaining for the most part, beacause of the development of strong interpersonal relationships between characters who are generally likeable, even if flawed, like ourselves.
The ability of the bumbling zombies to surprise characters and kill or nearly kill characters is implausible, especially after a few seasons.
Still characters haven't learned to be overly cautious or take common sense precautions. By now fortified villages could have been built with concrete walls, gates within gates to limit all-or-none zombie invasions into residential areas.
But in spite of these shortcomings I find the show very entertaining, I just look past the shortcomings. Neither my husband nor I are fans of horror or zombies.
We don't have cable and generally only watch documentaries. TWD has changed all of that. We absolutely love this show! Personally, I preferred seasons 1 and 2 over the 3rd.
By the end of last season I was ever so slightly less enthusiastic then I had been. I didn't enjoy the conflict between the two large groups as much as the more personal struggles the earlier shows focused on.
I also began to find the shows just too depressing. The occasional moments of humor, friendship and joy seemed to get less and less common as the season went on.
Obviously, a show dealing with the sort of events portrayed is not likely to be a comedy or a barrel of laughs and I wouldn't want it to be. However, in my book, a vital part of surviving in that sort of world would be to find those occasional moments of love, laughter and happiness.
Otherwise, what's the point? I am delighted to report that season 4 seems to have kept all the things I love about the series and brought back just a bit of the hope and humor.
I absolutely loved the premier and am awaiting each new installment with baited breath! On top of everything else the new season is heading into yet another plausible, interesting direction to help keep things fresh and new.
My daughter and I are late bloomer fans of The Walking Dead. So now we are on Amazon for Season 4. This show is so well written.
They manage to make the end of civilization as we know it believable, as believable as zombies taking over can be. Humans die and become zombies because of a virus we all carry, the zombie can only be destroyed by destroying the brain.
Bands of humans are traveling together, becoming like respective families in their quest for shelter and safety.
But not ALL humans left are good, honest or kind. Intriguing, engrossing, graphic, with the best horror make-up I've seen in awhile. It is shot in Georgia, and the beauty of that state is something I did not know until this show.
The actors have grown into their characters very nicely and we, the audience, care about each of them very much. The writers are not afraid to have some of our favorite characters "change" and have to be destroyed either.
And thanks Amazon, would have been so sad to miss Season 4! One person found this helpful. With over 6, reviews already, there is no need for me to write a review.
However after finishing Season 4, I wanted to let people know that this was the best season. Don't get me wrong. Season 1, 2, and 3 are awesome and not to be missed.
But two scenes from season 4 made this the best so far. Amazing what she had to do. Along with these two exceptional scenes, Daryl takes a huge step into the spot light next to Rick.
Carl, Beth and Michonne are also excellent support and great multipliers to the story. The new additions were perfectly added and removed from some.
Now, Glenn and Maggie are loosing steam and not as interesting as before. Overall, looking forward to season 5.

Set several months after the attempted attack on the prison by The Governor David Morrissey and his army, Rick has renounced his leadership in order to live a quiet and more peaceful life in contrast to his cold-hearted nature in the previous season.
Striving to hold onto humanity, Rick and his fellow survivors struggle to maintain their close to an ideal life at the prison as problems arise in the face of new evil, and threats within and outside the premises, including a deadly flu strain and the return of the vengeful Governor.
As to be expected, the quality of the HD transfer on these discs is superb, and should look great on any entertainment system.
To be totally honest I am really not into this series at all. Don,t get me wrong if you like this sort of genre brilliant but not for me.
There just comes a time when I just got totally bored with watching zombies getting mashed. I gave 5 stars because if you are into it then great I just don,t want to appear biased because I can,t get into it.
Great service from seller. Many thanks John. Brilliant season, bluray quality really good. No negatives.
I'm a huge Walking Dead fan and have managed to convert my teenage daughter. She has been binge-watching Seasons 1 through to 7.
They're just as good second time round even though you know what's going to happen. This particular Season is very intense and it just keeps on getting better and better.
If you've never watched The Walking Dead, try it, there'll be no going back! Good series and worth watching if you have enjoyed the last 3, although the comic book aspect gets in the way a little bit.
I have searched Amazon for contact access in order to comment that knowing whether the DVD has subtitles is not always mentioned.
For anyone with hearing loss or difficulty this is a biggie. Helpfully this did include subtitle info but series 5 has no indication therefore I will not buy before I know.
If Amazon would make this a standard fact available it would be a first class seller. Contact access might be useful too.

The Walking Dead, Season 4. Amazon Music Stream millions of songs. Romero's genre-defining film Night of the Living Dead.
Valentino advised that doing this would mean paying royalties to Romero and encouraged them to produce an original concept instead, as it meant they would own their work outright This is reportedly one of the reasons that the TV show never refers to the undead as 'zombies', referring to them instead as 'walkers', 'roamers' or 'lurkers', among many other terms.
After revising their pitch, Valentino agreed to publish their comic and the first issue arrived in , written by Kirkman and illustrated by Moore.
Although Moore would go on to create the cover artwork for the first 24 issues, his illustrations only feature in the first six, after which former AD artist Charlie Adlard took over.
The comic book series is still being published today — as of January there are issues in 29 volumes — and while the narrative of the TV show does occasionally diverge from the stories in the comic books, for the most part the show sticks pretty closely to the stories in the comic books, making it a spoiler-fest for fans of the TV show.
It's not just the TV show that the comic books have spawned either; there have also been 8 novels — the first four co-written by Kirkman with Jay Bonansinga, the latter four by Bonansinga alone — as well as an animation by Juice Films and a video game by Telltale Games released in In January , American cable network AMC announced that it had ordered a pilot episode of a screen adaptation of The Walking Dead , to be written and directed by The Shawshank Redemption writer Frank Darabont, with Robert Kirkman acting as co-writer and executive producer.
In fact, based on the strength and popularity of the source, as well as Darabont's involvement, AMC commissioned the entire first series before the pilot had even been made.
The first episode aired in October and across the first season's six episodes the show pulled in an average of 5.
The second season saw Glen Mazzara take over from Darabont as showrunner, staying until the end of the show's fourth season, when he was replaced by current showrunner Scott M.
Now on its eighth season, The Walking Dead holds the distinction of having the highest total viewership of any series in cable television history, as well as holding the record for the highest number of viewers for a single episode with the premiere of season five, which pulled in The Walking Dead has spawned several spin-off shows, including follow-up show Talking Dead , a live after-show hosted by Chris Hardwick featuring discussions about the series with actors, producers and fans.
A companion series, Fear the Walking Dead , launched in and serves as a prequel to The Walking Dead , being set at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse.
Set at first in Los Angeles, then later in Mexico, the series features a completely new cast and centres around a dysfunctional family who are forced to learn new skills to survive when the zombie epidemic takes hold.
Developed by AMC, the show was initially commissioned for a two-season run, but three seasons of the show have aired so far and a fourth is currently in production.
Fear the Walking Dead has been so successful that there has even been a spin-off of the spin-off, in the form of two web-based series - Fear the Walking Dead: Flight and Fear the Walking Dead: Passage.
The show's eighth season began broadcasting in and aired its mid-season finale on December 10th, with the second half of the series due to arrive in February But what happens after that?
